Check out this great blog post by Ron Houtman from Kent ISD (source: https://kisdedtech.wordpress.com/2016/04/26/need-internetan-interesting-program-from-digital-wish/)
As a teacher, I’m always looking for ways I can get my work done or do research even when I’m not at home. Something a bit vexing is that I’m often in a place without internet access, and that decreases the ability to do the work.
Recently I was made aware of a program from Digital Wish and Mobile Beacon that will help you or your students get online for a low cost.
Mobile Beacon’s 4G LTE Program has donated hotspot modems and discounted $10/month wireless service for educators. You get unlimited, high-speed 4G LTE mobile broadband service and a high quality, 10 hour battery life hotspot modem that can connect up to 10 people to the internet on only one plan.
Your cost would be $18 for the application and device and $120 year for internet access – which seems like a pretty great deal. You’d be wise to ensure that you are in Sprint’s coverage areabefore you go through the process.
Check out the FAQ at the bottom of the program listing for more details and to sign up.
